The Average Size of Different Raleigh Mice
For those who experienced mice infestation in the past, they probably know that mice can get big. The usual type of mice can be around 3 inches in length. Nonetheless, if the mice have enough supply of food, then they can achieve their maximum size. While some people will think that mouse and rats are the same creature, they are different animals that belong in the same family of rodent.

House Mouse
The average type of house North Carolina mice will have 3-3.25 inches in length excluding the length of their tail. The tail will measure at about 2.75-3 inches. The fur in their belly will have a lighter color compared to the rest of their body. Their tails will have the same size as their body. They originated from the Asian continent and conquered the other parts of the world excluding Antarctica.

Salt-Marsh Harvest Mouse
This type of mouse can grow up to 2.75 inches. Their tail will be longer than their body length at 3.25 inches. Their belly will be a mix of orange and white shade. They are usually encountered in the San Francisco Bay. This mouse is protected under the law and they are considered endangered.

Western Harvest Mice
The western harvest mouse will be around the same size as the salt-marsh harvest mouse. However, their tail will be a bit shorter. Their belly will also be white without a shade of orange. They will be found in the Northern part of the US and southwestern section of Canada.

Deer Mice
This is a mouse that closely resemble the appearance of your regular house mouse. There are different types of deer mouse and the most popular might be the American Deer Raleigh mice. It has a body length of 2.75-3.5in. Their tails can measure at more than 2.75 inches. Their belly will have a white fur with a mix of some grays. They can be found in Montana, Texas, West Virginia, The southeastern portion of the US. The White-footed deer mice also belong in this group. They have a body length of 3 inches which is relatively the same with the length of their tail.

Finally, we also have a jumping mouse. This group of mice is not closely related with the new-world mouse. Their tails are considerably longer than their body length. Usually, their tail will measure at least 5 inches and their body will be around 3 to 3.5 inches.
